Maiensäss Sper Caplutta, Surrein

Next door you can buy alpine cheese and literature, and coffee is available in the cosy Ustria Val. The small hamlet of Val with its few farmhouses from the 17th and 18th centuries is a secluded pearl at the foot of the Greina plateau - charmingly recognizable also by the historic chapel of St. Margareta from 1643, which stands proudly on the hill. Parking available and included. Winter-safe access.  The house can be reached by public transport & on foot from Chur in 1 hour to the train station Rabius/ Surrein, then 60 minutes walk to the hamlet of Val or via taxi - request in the Ustria Val. From the end of July to mid-October, the Alpin bus runs down into the valley to the Sumvitg Val stop. By car you can reach the Maiensäss from Zurich in about 2 hours. Access is guaranteed both in summer and winter. The tunnel gate can be opened at the touch of a button.
