5018 - Chamanna Coaz CAS (Corvatsch)

Not a ski tour in the classic sense. It is a descent to Chamanna Coaz via the Corvatsch ski area. The access from Pontresina through the Val Roseg is long and is much less frequent.

Surlej – Chamanna Coaz CAS
From Surlej with the mountain railways to the Corvatsch mountain station (3297 m). Descent to the SE along the ski slope to the Vadret da l'Alp Ota.
After a few metres on the piste (there is a sign on the left-hand side), you leave the ski area to the right and descend along poles to a ridge edge. Here the first fixed ropes appear on a rock face, which lead down into a large snow flank. From here, keep to the right downhill until you reach the next ridge edge. Another fixed rope leads from a notch in the rocky terrain finally into the touring area. Now with more or less large losses in altitude, keep to the right and continue straight ahead until you reach the Coaz hut, which is already visible.
