The tour starts in the “sand” between Obersaxen Meierhof and Giraniga. A gentle run-in is difficult, because shortly after the start the route really climbs uphill. Not too steep, but you quickly gain altitude. The route leads to Huot on the descent route of the marked “Giraniga/Huot” snowshoe trail. You soon turn onto the Walserweg trail. This leads you through a fairytale forest and clearings with great views. At Sassli, a lovely barbecue area in summer, you cross the groomed winter hiking trail and leave civilization behind for good. The subsequent crossing of the Nallwald forest is only permitted on the route listed here. You are in a wildlife quiet zone where leaving the path is not permitted. The ascent via the forest road is relaxing and enjoyable. After the forest section, you cross the Alp Prada to the summit-like hill above the Alp Stavonas. Well, the panorama up here is brilliant!

We take you downhill along the edge of the forest and the wildlife sanctuary back to Sassli and from there descend directly via Zarzana to the starting point
