Description

This tour starts in St. Moritz Bad by the Ovaverva indoor swimming pool. Just behind the swimming pool, the path takes you right past the children playground, and from there up the slope and along the forest road to the signpost for “Alp Staz”, which points towards the right. Here you can choose whether to continue along the forest road or turn off onto the trail that runs parallel to the forest road also through the forest. The Alp Staz is a large meadow with a small hut. Once you have reached the Alp Staz (signpost by the river), the trail heads down across the meadow for a short distance and then to the right slightly downhill over the bridge. The forest road continues down towards the Lej da Staz. At the next intersection, turn left towards the Hotel/Restaurant Stazersee. Here you can pause for a moment to take in the view over the lake before circling it in the direction of St. Moritz. When you arrive at Lake St. Moritz, you can decide which way to run round it – both directions take you back to the starting point.
