Description
The Outdoor Fitness Trails in the Heidiland holiday region comprise more than 30 uniformly signposted running routes from a total of 10 stations, making it one of the largest open-air fitness parks in the Alpine region. The Betlis Trail is one of three running trails around the Weesen station.
The starting point for this 10.1 km long trail is the info point of the Weesen station at the Schifflände (423 m above sea level). M). For the first few metres, the Betlis Trail runs along the lake. In the middle of the village near Autis (428), the running course turns onto the pavement of the main road in the direction of Amden. At the end of the village, the trail turns right onto the paved road that leads to Betlis, which always offers a magnificent view of the lake and the surrounding mountains. Special mention should be made of the two spectacular tunnels carved into the rock (if necessary, take reflectors with you). At the Strahlegg lido (425), continue on a hiking trail that first leads along the lakeshore and then up to the Höfli clearing (458). Again on a paved side road, with a wonderful view of the lake and the Flumserberge, we continue to Vorderbetlis (531), where you are within touching distance of the imposing Seerenbach Falls. Via Hinterbetlis, the path leads through a partly dense forest past Höfli back to the lake. From here, take the same route back to the Infopoint in Weesen.
