CH - MUNT PERS "Senda dal Diavel"

summer -photo:bit.ly/3KCSXJx -video track:www.relive.cc/view/v8qkGoWY23q - Route (Alpinistica PD-T5) of about 13.5 kilometers - positive elevation gain 1293 meters. - There are 2 routes to reach Munt Pers (3206 m / asl): the first is the classic hiking one that climbs to Lej da Diavolezza, reaches the Diavolezza Refuge and then goes to the top; the second climbs to Lej da las Collinas (2590 m / asl) and after a short time becomes a mountaineer at PD / T5 level. By car you reach the parking lot of the departure station of the Diavolezza cable car (2090 m / asl) and walk south on the dirt road that climbs in the middle of the ski slope; at an altitude of 2360 m above sea level there is a sign that indicates to the right for Lej Pers and Munt Pers. Once you have taken this detour you will arrive at a stone where a steep direct route for the ascent is indicated, while continuing to the right you continue on the easier hiking trail. When you reach the junction for Lej Pers, proceed to the left towards the small Lej da las Collinas; here you continue a little further on the path then, at another stone that indicates the direction of Senda dal Diavel, the real challenging route begins, equipped with many chains, in narrow gullies and with passages on ridges. Since there are no more traces on the ground, you must never lose the many white-blue-white trail signs. In some passages, to get around ridges that are too difficult, the route descends and then climbs again; this happens even when you are not far from your destination. A large summit cairn marks the 3206 m / asl of the Munt Pers which acts as a bifurcation between the Bernina Valley and that of the Morteratsch. From here you have spectacular views of the glaciers, the peaks of the Bernina Group and in the distance the arrival station of the cable car and the Diavolezza Refuge (2973 m / asl). On the way back, you reach the refuge and then climb up to the lift located below Sass Queder where the hiking trail that descends to Lej Diavolezza (2609 m / asl) begins.
