Once you reach Silvaplana, take the road that goes up to Pass Julier where, just before the pass, park your car near the Chamana dal Stradin (2161 m / asl). The travel time indicated on the pole is a bit "tight"; It is a fairly challenging excursion suitable for those who have a good experience, do not suffer from vertigo and have a very "safe" foot. The path, marked with many white-blue signs, after a short while begins to climb steeply on a treacherous soil, then on grassy sections, until it reaches, at an altitude of 2700 m / asl, the large depression of the Munteratsch of glacial origin located between Piz Julier and Piz Albana. After passing the extensive landslide area with large rocky boulders, you then climb to the Fourcla di Albana (2870 m / asl) where there is an emergency shelter; here also comes the path that passes through Alpe Suvretta. The route begins to present its first difficulties, suitable only for very Experienced Exonerators (II° - F). In the first part, up to below 3000 m / asl, you follow a track on the usual treacherous soil then begins the real rocky stretch that climbs along the pinnacle ridge.  You immediately come across the first exposed passages, secured with sturdy chains, which remain on the southern side. The trail signs are very useful for identifying the passages that allow, with various zig-zags, to overcome ledges and gullies. After passing under the East Peak of the Julier, you move, for some stretches, to the North Face where you also find yourself above what remains of the dying Vedretta Julier. Back on the southern side, you reach the forepeak from where you descend to a saddle and then climb back up on the last stretch which is less demanding. Once at the summit you will not find the classic cross or a pole indicating the altitude but a simple cairn and above all an immense 360 ° panoramic view. The Bernina Group, the peaks of Val Masino, Monte Disgrazia, the nearby Piz Nair, the lunar landscape below with many chromatic varieties, Pontresina and St. Moritz; This is a small part of everything you can admire from up here. The return, to be tackled very carefully, takes place on the same route as the ascent.
