Leave the car at the parking lot in the upper part of Samedan (1760 m above sea level) and walk towards the nearby church of St. Peter. Continuing towards N-W you reach Peidra Grossa (1950 m/asl) where the path begins that climbs with many hairpin bends in the woods up to 2240 m/asl and crosses the "Via Engiadina". Continuing to climb, you then arrive at the Margunin saddle (2409 m/asl) where you turn southwards always on a well-marked path (white/red). From an altitude of 2700 m / asl you enter the rockiest area of the climb which, however, does not present serious difficulties and the trail signs are white and blue. Once you arrive at a large "cairn" you go around the summit (2857 m / asl) reaching it from the north. Great view of the Engadine, the Bernina group and the Pontresina valley; there is the summit book. On the opposite side of the climb, just below the summit, take the path that descends southwards and return to the "Via Engiadina" (2480 m / asl). Go in a N-E direction, thus crossing the path taken on the outward journey, but do not take it and continue until you reach a large stallion (2200 m/asl).
