CH - VAL ROSEG.

autumn -photo:photos.app.goo.gl/LiHZ2WL4rKh4UTGY6 -videotrack:www.relive.cc/view/vLqeenoo8dq - Route (T - T1) of about 24.5 kilometers - positive elevation gain 495 meters. - It is a relaxing walk in a valley that is located beyond Valmalenco. It is the usual beautiful Swiss landscape all precise and everything in order, too bad that most of the routes of the Orobie Valtellinesi are not like this. To get there you have to cross the border and reach the beautiful Pontresina by car where you park in the Train Station area (don't forget to pay for parking). The path is taken (1760 m / asl) at the crossroads from where the various carriages that make the tourist transport service depart. To get to the wide basin (1999 m/asl), which is located in the middle of the valley, simply follow the comfortable dirt road, closed to traffic, which runs along the stream. Along the way you can see squirrels, great, chamois, deer... and beautiful mountains. The route is very easy, some sections of the alternative path are temporarily closed and parallel to the road. A couple of wooden bridges allow you to cross the waters of the Roseg stream that descends from the nearby glaciers. After a little more than 7 kilometers you arrive at the end of the dirt road, here you will find the Hotel Roseg Gletscher and the rest station of the carriages pulled by sturdy horses. Continuing in a S-S-W direction, but on the left orographic side, follow the path that allows you to approach the Lej da Vadret. First you pass at the foot of what remains of the Vadret da Tschierva which is located below Piz Morteratsch, Piz Bernina, Piz Scerscen and Piz Roseg, then overcoming a short difference in height you find yourself just above the long Lej da Vadret. It is a large body of water of glacial formation, it is located under the Vadret da Roseg, the Vadret da la Sella and Chamanna Coaz. These 2 glaciers are located north of some peaks that mark the border with Valmalenco.
