KtGR Preda | Cna d'Es-cha | Val Plazbi/Tuors/Tisch | Bergün
If you take a sober look at the overall package of this circuit in a fascinating landscape (see picture gallery and video contribution), you will quickly understand that the ratio of the sliding and running passage (3.4 km) to the 33.2 km (of which 25.5 km single trails and 7.7 km (cart) paths) can still easily be rated as an enduro tour - and whether!
The single trail sections in Val d'Es-cha and between Alp Muotta Sur and Val Tisch are among the most beautiful highlights of biker life.
Details
Description
Section from Albula Pass road at Punt Granda (point 2251m) to Chamanna d'Es-cha CAS (Es-cha SAC hut)
The beautiful trail over Alp Alvra is still easy to drive at the bottom. Gradually, the single trail to Fuorcla Gualdauna becomes steeper and steeper. Here you have to put in all your strength to stay in the saddle. Pushing would probably be gentler on forces here. From the Fuorcla Gualdauna you will see the Chamanna d'Es-cha CAS (Es-cha SAC hut) for the first time. From the Fuorcla Gualdauna a wonderful high-altitude trail, easy to ride and only slightly ascending into the Val d'Es-cha. This section is embedded in a quite steep slope but on a good trail. Then it's over the Ova Pischa stream. After that, the trail becomes a bit steeper again and also a bit blocked in between. As a result, one or the other probably have to descend here and there briefly.
The Es-cha-Hütte or Chamanna d'Es-cha (Romansh) and is located at 2,594 m above sea level.M above the Upper Engadine at the southern foot of the Piz Kesch. The panorama at the hut includes the Bernina Group. The cottage sleeps 50 and is managed in the summer season from mid-June to mid-October, as well as in the winter season from the end of February to mid-April.
Pushing and carrying section from the Cna Es-cha up to fuorcla Pischa: For these almost 300 uphill meters you need about 45 minutes
Sliding section after the Alp digl chants or from the mountain stream 'Ava da Plazbi' up towards Alp Muotta Sur: For these almost 250 uphill altitude meters you need about 35 minutes
Sicherheitshinweis
