Langlauftour zum Morteratschgletscher

Cross-country ski tour from the Morteratsch railway station to the Morteratsch Glacier. The ascent route is shared with pedestrians, classic and skating. Very nice view into the glacier world of the Bernina. You can walk into the glacier caves, but you should wear grippy shoes, as you have to walk on pale ice. Cross-country skiing shoes are not the best choice. The easy descent is shared with the alpine skiers who have descended from the Diavolezza over the Pers and Morteratsch glaciers. In itself very easy tour, but a few 'steeper and narrower sections are to be mastered. In the restaurant at the train station Morteratsch there is good cake and coffee.
