Description

The name "Las Squadras" has always been used by the locals. The leisurely tour can be started and ended from any of the four villages. It leads over unpaved roads and side roads with little traffic and is also well suited for strollers. At Sumvitg you can alternatively take the cozy roads below the village, which leads towards Cumpadials and vice versa towards Rabius.
In Rabius, Sumvitg, Bahnhof Sumvitg/Cumpadials and Surrein there is a restaurant where you can enjoy drinks and good food (please note opening hours). In Plaun Petschen (near Cumpadials) there is a playground with a fireplace and a natural lake. Also in Igniu (near Rabius at the bottom of the valley) the Parc Igniu awaits visitors with a bike park and a climbing wall as well as a playground with a fireplace.

Visit to the Plaun Petschen playground or the Parc Igniu.

Sicherheitshinweis

In uncertain weather conditions, the tour should not be started. Weather changes in the mountains are frequent. If a rain front or similar comes up during the hike, you should turn back in time.

From the Graubünden cantonal capital of Chur, the Rhaetian Railway takes you through the spectacular Rhine Gorge to Ilanz and on to Rabius.

Anreise Information

On the A13 to Reichenau, then on the main road 19 via Flims to Ilanz and on to Rabius.

Parking is available at the train station in Rabius.
