Description

Start in Livigno (1816m). After the ascent to the Forcola di Livigno (2310m), we drive on a well-developed trail up to the Fuorcla Minor (2435m). There you can enjoy dream views of the Bernina Glacier and the Diavolezza. We follow the signposted mountain bike route to the Bernina Pass and roll down to Lago Bianco. A worthwhile detour now leads us to Alp Grüm, located high in Val Poschiavo. We strengthen ourselves in the beautifully located Ristorante Bevedere and enjoy the dream view of the Palügletscher from there. On the same way we go back to Lago Bianco, then we roll through the Val Bernina to the valley station of the Diavolezza cable car (2093m). Here we cross the road and bike with a moderate incline into the lonely Val da Fain (Heutal). The gravel road leads easily uphill to Alp La Stretta (2427m), then follows a beautiful trail slightly uphill to the pass La Stretta (2476m). On the way you pass a few beautiful little streams and lakes. From the pass, the view opens into the valley of Livigno. From here, a steep trail led down into the Livigno Valley, which requires sliding inserts, especially at the beginning. On the designated bike trails it goes back to Livigno.
