Description

Along Lake Oberalpsee we usually meet numerous patient fishermen hoping for a good catch. They don't let themselves be disturbed. The effort for us only begins after the tunnel.  A mountain path leads us in even bends to Lake Lutersee. Simply beautiful how it lies in a hollow surrounded by mats and rocks at the foot of the Grossschijen! To the south, a mountain panorama opens up to us, from the Graubünden and Ticino mountains to the Uri Alps. We stay for quite a while - we have a picnic, swimming trunks and a blanket with us.

We continue walking along an old military road below the Scheehüenerstock to the Fellilücke. From here we can see into central Switzerland. The Hinterfellital up to the Oberalp Pass has a very varied landscape. We encounter rare flowers and green mats with cotton grass, crossing the Fellibach again and again.

Variant 1: Hike up from Lutersee to the Schneehüenerstock mountain station and take the gondola down to the valley. (approx. 40 minutes)

Variant 2: From the Platte middle station take the gondola down to the valley.

Directions

A marked hiking trail leads along the Oberalpsee towards Andermatt. After the gallery we turn right. We follow the narrow, signposted mountain path to the Lutersee. Below the mountain station of the Schneehüenerstock we meet an old military road, which leads in an easterly direction to the Fellilücke. In a southerly direction we follow the hiking trail to the top of the pass, which we can see from here.
