Hike that connects the Upper Engadine with the Surses.

The starting point is Maloja, from where a mountain hiking trail leads steeply to Lake Lunghin and on to the triple watershed on the Lunghin Pass. At 2645m above sea level, this is the highest point (after 860m uphill) of the hike.

Alternatively, you can make a detour from here to the Piz Lunghin, from where a sweeping view is revealed. The summit is on a white-blue-white signposted alpine hiking route in half an hour
attainable.

From the Lunghin Pass, this route leads over a small bend to the Septimer Pass and from there, over a plateau down to Bivio.

Hints:
The paths are very well signposted and can be walked on without any problems in good weather.

The summit ascent to Piz Lunghin is not part of this route.
Since this was a family hike, this demanding part was dispensed with.
