Auf die Morteratsch-Gletscherzunge

First we go to the Chünetta viewpoint on an alpine trail. Great viewpoint of Piz Bernina and Morteratsch glacier. From there, descend via alpine path to a wide path that documents the retreat of the glacier over the last 140 years, to a new bridge over the glacier stream. Here you can already see the dead ice on the former lateral moraines. From now on the alpine path uphill until you reach the glacier tongue. This is where the markings end. You now have to look for the best transition to the glacier / smallest crevasse yourself. Across the glacier, you also have to look for the route to the glacier waterfall yourself. The glacier waterfall is below the former confluence of the Pers glacier on the eastern side of the glacier.
