Muottas Muragl to Pontresina on 30 June 2020

Skip the cog railway and hike up for a good workout and quiet time alone under the trees. Once you get to the trail running between Muottas Muragle and Alp Landguard the views along the narrow trail are stunning—and the same is true for the wildflowers—but there are lots of other hikers. Lunch at the Stabkirchens at Alp Landguart is tasty and the Perfect Break. Plan to hike down so you can stop by Sta. Maria, the interior walls of which are covered with stunning Medieval frescoes. (It opens at 3:30, so if you start out around 11, the timing is perfect!).
