Norditalienische Pässejagd

Three days were time, as a pass hunter I wanted to explore as new mountain regions as possible. Time did not allow too long a journey. It was also special that I did a tour with a tent for the first time. The experience was terrific, at the campsites I met a lot of nice, interesting people, all of whom were very open. I find this way of travelling much more communicative than staying in guesthouses or hotels.
It went over the Lutzisteig and Splügen pass to Lake Como. From there eastwards over various passes to Edolo. There I climbed up to the Passo Mortirollo and turned off shortly before on the ridge road, which leads back to Tirano. This section was certainly a highlight on the journey. Deserted without any traffic but with a lot of panorama, the narrow mountain road leads along the mountain ridge and then winds its way down into the valley in dozens of serpentines. Watch the video, it gives a short impression of what to expect here.
Finally we went over the Bernina Pass and the Bielerhöhe back to Vorarlberg.
