Starting point: Punt Muragl (1738 m) Switzerland
Length: 66.9 km
Maximum altitude: 2383 m Fluela Pass
Total difference in altitude uphill: 1260 m
Arrival: Davos (1557 m) Switzerland
Cycling: 100% asphalt
Water along the way: YES - from Samaden to Susch in each village
How to get there: from Sondrio take the SS38 to Tirano and after the Sanctuary of the Madonna, at the roundabout, turn left towards Campocologno. After crossing the Italy/Switzerland border in Campocologno follow the signs for Poschiavo and then continue to the Bernina pass. Continue towards Pontresina and after a while, you arrive at Punt Muragl where on the right there is a large free parking.
After parking the car we start our adventure by crossing the Bernina road 29 and continuing on the bike path. We are at just over 1700 m above sea level and the temperature is around 6 ° C. Luckily we have winter technical clothing that allows us to ride without freezing too much.  We cross the bridge over the Flaz stream, turn right, pass the road that leads to St. Moritz and continue straight. We cross the bridge over the river Inn (En in Romansh language) that flows into the Danube and is 517 kilometers long, and we arrive at the center of Samaden. Once in front of the reformed church, where there is also a fountain gushing freezing water, we stop to take the first picture of the day. From the parking lot to here we covered 3.6 km and overcame a difference in height of 105 meters with an average gradient of 2.3%. We get back in the saddle and, after crossing the village, we head to Bever, where we photograph the Reformed church of 1667. We continue straight on a secondary road that ends in front of the train tracks. We cross the rails very carefully looking well both to the right and to the left and then we get back in the saddle. After a while the road enters the road 27, we pass La Punt Chamues and at the intersection for Madulain we continue straight entering the village. We continue on this secondary road to Zuoz, considered one of the most beautiful villages in the Engadine, especially for the numerous patrician houses such as the Chesa Planta. From Samaden to here we covered 10.6 km overcoming a difference in height of 83 meters. Back in the saddle we continue our tour past S-Chanf where, after the village, we enter again on road 27. We continue on this road to Zernez, where we arrive after having traveled from Zuoz 16.4 km overcoming a difference in height of 65 meters. We turn left, cross the bridge over the Inn, pass two short avalanche tunnels and arrive at Susch (1420 m), where it is located ... continued on: http://gianolinibike.it/node/10841
