Rundwanderung Malojapass - Lägh da Bitabergh - Lägh da Cavloc

Short circular hike from the Maloja Pass over the Lägh da Bitabergh and Lägh da Cavloc. Parking in the village, directly at the pass or left from the first bend. Shortly after this parking lot, the path leads over the Orden dam wall, which was built to protect against mudslides. After a short ascent you will reach the idyllic Lägh da Bitabergh. At the end of the Lägh it goes steeply up past alpine rose bushes to the Motta Salacina. It is worthwhile to linger for a short time and enjoy the beautiful landscape, but especially the fantastic view of both the Oberengading and the Bergell. The path then follows the slope, and shortly afterwards the view opens up to the Lägh da Cavloc, which you can reach via a steep descent. At this lake it is wonderful to rest. Afterwards you can circle the lake and tackle the first part of the descent via nature trails, as suggested on the map, or alternatively choose the alpine road back to Maloja.
