The Way of the Devil is a white-blue route to the Munt Pers for about 2 years. Today it is marked and provided with good rope safety and often walked.

If you want to get to the Munt Pers without the hordes of tourists or are looking for an acclimatization tour in front of the Piz Bernina, you will find it here nearby.

Description

Ascending through alpine meadows and a small detour to the mountain lake Laj da las Collinas increases the anticipation of the later ascent through the rock up to the Munt Pers.

On the Munt Pers you meet the crowds coming from the Diavolezza Railway - and you disappear into anonymity.

Geheimtipp

Enjoy the peace and quiet at the Laj de las Collinas to let the wonderful surroundings work on you.

Sicherheitshinweis

As an additional safety, a via ferrata set can be used, it has sufficient safety options.

Ausrüstung

Mountaineering equipment, possibly via ferrata set,

Directions

Starting point is the parking lot of the Diavolezzabahn (free - still..) Following a natural road, it goes uphill almost below the cable car. Shortly after the point 2354, the path turns right. You still have the choice whether you want to go to the Laj de las Collinas or choose the entrance to the wall with the different steps in a direct line.
Slowly, the degree of variability increases - but there are always security options available. If you are unsure, a via ferrata set is recommended for safety.
You quickly gain altitude and walk once to the left, once to the right of the ridge towards the Munt Pers.

Shortly after the point 3045 there is again the possibility to get out of the ridge path and start the descent over a (very) steep scree field into the plain of the Diavolezza.

The further way is only on rock in the most beautiful walking style over massive rock and large blocks.
A short, very exposed passage ends this tour, if you stand on the Munt Pers.

The descent then takes place via the red and white mountain path to the mountain station of the Diavolezzabahn.
