The hiking trail begins in Versam. The gateway to the Safiental valley is situated above the Rhine Gorge, one of the most spectacular landscapes in the Alpine region. On the way you enjoy a panoramic view. The stage destination is Tenna, an innovative mountain village that boasts the world's first ever solar-powered ski lift.

Description

From Versam you will climb steadily upwards past the Brüner Alp and up to the Tenner Chrüz. The view towards Ringelspitz and Tschingelhörner becomes more and more impressive. From the Tenner Chrüz you look into Safiental. Now it’s downhill to Tenna.

Geheimtipp

The Maiensäss Beizli Imschlacht is an ideal place for a lunch break. The tour can be shortened by taking the Rheinschlucht/Ruinaulta bus.

With the Reformation around 1524, the church was converted into a sober sermon hall. The whitewashed frescoes from the late Middle Ages are now uncovered again and are much admired.
