Skidding on a Fine Line Through the Winter Forest.
Skatelines
Ice skating through a romantic winter forest? Skidding through a fairy tale of snow and ice while gliding on prepared ice trails? The skatelines in Graubünden make it possible.
The inspiration for the ice paths came, as it so often does in Graubünden, from nature. Even the residents lent a hand in the end. The shaded forest paths, over which the ice rink runs, was as smooth as glass in the winter months due to the spray of the neary creek.
Engadine Ice Trail
One of the most unique paths in the entire region winds through the fairytale forest of the Lower Engadine in winter. The Sur En Ice Trail is a three-kilometre-long skating path that runs as a circuit from Sur En near Sent along the River Inn.
Ice Way Madulain
The Ice Way Madulain leads you through a magnificent floodplain landscape along the banks of the River Inn. The play of light from the river, the view of the historic village centre and the tranquillity of the valley floor accompany you along a length of one kilometre.
