Attraction Bregaglia Engadin
Albigna dam
Description
The dam was built in 1955-59 by the electricity company of the city of Zurich. The reservoir reflects the high granite mountains. The 115 m high and 759 m long wall not only serves to generate energy, but also offers protection against flooding during heavy rainfall. On a guided tour, you can look inside the thick walls and find out what is hidden in this enormous structure.
