Description
Built in 1673 in the Baroque style after the Grisons Troubles, today's church is based on the building fabric of several predecessors. A church in Andeer in the same location was first mentioned in a document in 1419. The striking tower, which characterises the village, was added in 1827 and topped with an onion dome on the polygonal tower. The church is a cantonal listed building.
The centrepiece of the church is the baptismal font in front of the steps to the choir, which also serves as a communion table in the Reformed Grisons tradition. The inlaid pulpit dates back to 1677.
The organ was installed in 1967 and is located in the gallery.
Opening hours
