Description
The Catholic Brother Klaus Chapel is located next to the “Casa Bethania” vacation home on Pardipleun/Planezzas, a mountain pasture north of Ladir. The sisters of the motherhouse in Ilanz spend their vacations here in groups from June to autumn. The chapel and vacation home are just under an hour's walk from Ladir. The chapel was built in 1952 by master builder Alois Casutt from Falera, according to the inscription. He used stones from the surrounding terrain and from the Fellerser ravine. The east-facing church is closed on three sides. The trapezoidal wooden ceiling is raised above the altar. There are three round-arched windows with rectangular, pale-colored panes in leaded glass on the north side and two on the south side. There is a round window with stained glass in the flat central section of the chancel end.
In front of the altar is the people's altar with an altar stone bearing the date 1966. To the left and right of the altars are the carved statues of Our Lady (left) and St. Brother Klaus (right) on pedestals. Between the windows of the chapel are 14 Stations of the Cross. To the west is a simple room for the priest's accommodation with a separate entrance. The facades of the chapel are unstructured and the ashlars are grouted. The gabled roof is covered with copper sheeting and hipped over the three-sided end. Above the choir is a ridge turret with a hexagonal pointed helmet. The hand-pulled bell rings in it.
