The church stands at the entrance of the Traversagna valley and is preceded by two arched stone bridges that cross the river of the same name, connecting it to the village of Roveredo.

Description

The church of Our Lady of the Closed Bridge or St. Anne was mentioned for the first time in some historical documents dating back to 1524. Later the structure was rebuilt in the seventeenth century. According to legend, an emigrant from Roveredo in Rome, Zanetto, was commissioned by an unknown gentleman to build a chapel dedicated to Our Lady of Loreto at the "Pons clausus" in Roveredo. This after Zanetto declared that he did not know the place. Zanetto, after learning in a dream that this was the will of God, built the chapel in the sixteenth century. On August 24, 1524, the church was consecrated by the auxiliary bishop of Chur.
