The church was built in the early 18th century. After a fire in 1896, it was enlarged during restoration.

The building has no architectural significance; it consists of a nave and a three-sided, vaulted chancel facing southeast. The southeastern part of the nave, the plastered mirror ceiling, and the bell tower’s spire were added in 1926.

The high altar (made of wood) features a simple structure with two columns growing out of acanthus leaves. The side altars follow a similar composition.

The bells were cast by Gebr. Theus, Felsberg, in 1897.
