Crap dalla Gneida / Erlenstein, Surcasti

The Crap dalla Gneida, is located in a steep embankment of alders, about 700 m south of Surcasti. Legend has it that the devil was furious about the construction of the church of Sontga Catarina in Tersnaus, wanting to destroy it with a huge stone. It missed the target and the stone crashed into the valley floor with a hellish rumble. In anger, he threw him up the heap. Even today, his footprints, head and back marks can be found in the hard material. The Devil's Stone lies beautifully in lush vegetation, little accessible but mystical. It cannot be described as an energy, healing or cult stone.
