Description

History

First mention in 1345 in the indulgence of St. Vincentius in Pleif. The patron saint was St. Mary. The tower still comes from the Romanesque inventory, perhaps also the surrounding walls of the nave. In 1501 the bailiffs of lights received permission to lay down walls for the restoration of the sacristy. The choir was rebuilt and the nave was covered with a moulding plank, probably in the 17th century.

Specifications

The northeast-facing structure consists of a nave and a choir of the same width, which is covered with a ribless cross vault adapted to the polygon. Arched windows and round-arched entrance on the west front. Only the tabernacle dates from 1501.
The tower stands to the north at the junction of the choir and the nave, whose walls run up to it. It dates from the 11th and 12th centuries, with the exception of the top floor, which was added later, probably in the 13th century.

Equipment

On the south side of the choir there is a late Gothic sacramental niche, the crown of which is decorated with tracery.
Bells with inscriptions from 1491.
