The fireplace is located by Lake Canova. This is an inviting place to swim in summer and is well over 20 degrees in summer.
Description
A visit can easily be combined with a walk to Almens, which promises a unique view of the Heinzenberg. Lake Canova and the fire pit can be reached on foot from Paspels in approx. 10 - 15 minutes. There is a charge for swimming in the lake.

Entrance fee for the lake (not compulsory for the fire pit) CHF 5.- per person (child 6 - 16 years CHF 2.50)
Directions
Public Transport
- From the south: Take the RhB to Thusis. In Thusis, take the bus to Almens and walk northwards (Paspels/Tomils) for approx. 1 km. Follow the footpath at the post office stop, always straight ahead (old Domleschger Strasse). It leads directly to the lake.
- From the north: Take the train from Chur to Rhäzüns (terminus). Here you can take the post bus to Thusis via Domleschg (this is coordinated with the train). Get off in Paspels (post office), walk up a small path in the direction of the church and follow the road uphill to the school building and continue along the nature trail to the lake. (approx. 15 min. walk)
Directions
Motorway A13 Chur - direction Thusis, exit no. 20 Feldis Rothenbrunnen Cazis (directly after the Isla Bella tunnel) left, direction Sils i. D.
In Paspels, turn left at the Denner and drive up the narrow road, past the church and after approx. 50 metres turn left up the hill towards the school building.
Parking
Free parking is available at the Paspels school building, during the holiday season the school car park may also be used or at the Cureia car park (Domleschgerstrasse 86).
