The memorial at Pundual in Brigels honours Giacun Hasper Muoth, one of the most important Romanesque poets and writers.Giacun Hasper Muoth was born on 29 September 1844 as the son of a wealthy farmer in Brigels. From the age of 15 he spent his studies successively in Feldkirch, Disentis, Schwyz, Fribourg and Lausanne. In 1867, his father was in financial distress.
