Glarus Thrust on the Foostock

Rarely is the Glarus Thrust so beautifully exposed and so easily recognizable as on the east and south sides of the Foostock.

Description

The Foostock in the rear Weisstannental is truly majestic. Below the razor-sharp line of the Glarus Thrust there is a large grey limestone package whose origin still raises questions to this day. Below are gentle, grassy slopes made of flysch rocks.
