Grotti di Cama - Historic Cellars, XVII-XVIII century
Show all 4 images
The area of the grottos, recently restored in a dense chestnut wood, includes about fifty grottos dating back to past centuries.
Description
The main characteristic of the grottos is that of being natural cellars, used for the preservation of food since ancient times, thanks to the air currents (fiadirée - fiatatoi) that constantly pass through them, escaping from cracks in the mountain.
There are three grottos open to the public as restaurants:
Grotto Bundi alla Bellavista
Grotto Prandi
Grotto Milesi Belloli
