Gsponbachfall

From the valley floor of Alp Merlen, there is a view of the Gsponbach Falls, which plunges into the valley from the right side. The 75-metre-high fall impresses not only with its sheer height, but also with the wild way in which it plunges into the valley. From Murg train station, you can reach the fall on foot in a good 3 hours. Alternatively, you can take a car or the Murgtal taxi to Merlen, or Mornen. Tip: For nature lovers, it is almost a must to combine a visit to the Gsponbach Falls with the Murgsee round trip. Immediately behind the Gsponbach Falls, a plateau opens up to the visitor as if from a picture book, where the wild Gsponbach still meanders unhindered through the landscape. About two hours later, on the Murgsee-Furggel, you can see the upper two Murg lakes, before passing the lower Murgsee with its protected Swiss stone pine reserve on the way back. You can't get more nature and water experience than this!
