Description

Vastness, water, desert – that is the newly designed river landscape of the Inn. Everything flows here. Everything is bursting with liveliness. And nature-loving people make sure that the floodplain remains dynamic.

Our ancestors built dams with great effort, we have recently torn them down again: A change in flood protection also reflects a change in the appreciation of nature. The trigger was the dams in need of rehabilitation. But instead of building something artificial out of nature, here nature was created again out of something artificial. The work has been completed since the end of 2020; in the meantime, the Inn has taken over construction and continues to shape the landscape with its high and white waters.

You want to know more? Visit the Inn floodplains and find out on site what is currently happening. You can learn more about the background and other exciting details on a guided hike. School classes or youth groups can borrow an explorer's backpack from the Bever Tourist Information and discover the Bever Inn floodplains in a particularly exciting way!
