The simple chapel on the Glenner has no electric lighting and is accordingly dark. A flashlight is therefore recommended.

A particularly valuable Pietà (2) from the 14th century, now protected behind bulletproof glass, is the centre of attraction for art lovers. It has an eventful history behind it, because according to tradition, it was thrown into the ravine in Duvin when this community professed the Reformation. They would have been found in Peiden and kept in the chapel. In 1975 it was brought to Chur in poor condition and was then carefully restored by Professor Oskar Emmenegger.

Three altars (3) attract attention. On the left with the image of the Lamentation of Christ and the figures of Florinus and Lucius. To the right, by an unknown painter, a coronation of the Virgin Mary (4) with the figure of God the Father in a tympanum. The high altar in the choir with the image of Mary with the Infant Jesus, flanked by St. Lucius and an unknown bishop. Just below the choir ceiling is the figure of St. Catherine on a blue background (5).

Place of Magic

The Sogn Glieci Chapel is a place of power and healing.
The guests of the former spa town of Peiden Bogn not only drank spa water and took healing baths, they were also invited to pray in the nearby Luzius Chapel. In the vicinity of old spa resorts, you can often find places of worship and healing where offerings were made to the water spirits.
