Kippi fireplace
A fireplace at the edge of a large forest clearing.
Description
The Kippi fireplace can be reached on foot in about 1.5 hours. Park your car in front of the tunnel and follow the old Zerfreila trail in the direction of Zerfreila. The entrance to the hiking trail is above the tunnel. After about 1 ½ hours of hiking, you will reach the idyllic forest clearing where the barbecue area is located. Alternatively, you can hike along the dirt road towards Chäscherli. The barbecue area is equipped with grills and tables so that you can have a picnic together and enjoy nature to the full. A large meadow offers children a wonderful place to play and run around.

Public Transport
From Ilanz take the Postbus to Vals and continue in the direction of Zerfreila. Get off at the Grosscher stop and follow the road to the Rotabärg tunnel. The entrance to the hiking trail is above the tunnel. After about 1 ½ hours of hiking you will reach the Kippi.
