Klettergarten Ardez

Climbing or mountaineering is just as much a part of the mountain as the ibex, chamois and marmots. However, the Engadine rock formations are not necessarily predestined for this. The stones sit too loosely, the African one rubs too much underground against the Eurasian plate. But not everywhere: In the Ardez climbing garden, the rocks are stable and so beginners, as well as advanced climbers, can try their hand at the walls. The access is easy, as the climbing area is located directly on the Engadinerstrasse, at the junction to Ardez. 

The easier routes are located in the upper part, plus you climb a little through the forest up the slope. Difficult and spectacular are the passages directly on the road. But the attention of passers-by is guaranteed, if you want to do so.
