Ice and glaciers formed the enchanting landscape in the area around the Murg lakes. An experience for both young and old!

Description

The Murg lakes are located in a terraced landscape shaped by glaciers. On the left side of the valley the rocks look like they have been ground flat. At the base of the former glacier, they were heavily worked by bedload carried along in the ice. The lower Murg Lake with its ancient Swiss stone pine forests is part of the Federal Inventory of Landscapes and Natural Monuments.
