Official FIS Ski Museum Bad Ragaz
Description
The Bad Ragaz Winter Sports Museum has been recognized by the FIS (Fédération Internationale de Ski) as an official FIS Ski Museum. A total of 34 museums in 12 countries have received this distinction and may call themselves so. The museum was set up by Jürg Hess. In years of painstaking work, he has assembled a large collection, from which he presents a selection here. His entire collection consists of skis (1,000 pairs) and numerous other props such as shoes, poles, clothes and documents. Skiing is one of the most beautiful pastimes one can enjoy in winter. Bad Ragaz is considered a world health resort, where winter sports also play a major role. Since 2018, the Winter Sports Museum has been dedicated to this sport, located in the attic of an old Ragaz house at Kronenplatz 6. Numerous exhibits from various winter sports are displayed here; bobsleigh, skeleton, curling, curling and of course skiing with everything that goes with it such as wax, helmet, boots, etc.
