Pfarrer-Künzle-Grotte

The grotto welcomes us with a Pietà, a cross on the grotto arch and a little bell tower right behind. The grotto which was constructed under Pfarrer Johann Künzle in 1912/13 confronts you, against all expectations, with profound energy. Read the words of Jesus: "All who pass by here, see if you feel a pain like my pain."
The place has connections to the pain which Pfarrer Künzle's discoveries were used to combat, and which he treated and often cured with herbs. The top of the grotto, equipped with wooden benches to entice you to sit a while is not a place which will give you energy. Stay as long as you feel well.
