Description
Prättigau in summer:
Lush, green meadows stretch out under impressive limestone rock faces. The Rätikon mountain range close to the border to Austria offers lots of possibilities for climbing and trekking. If heights don't scare you, take to Graubünden's first via ferrata for some spectacular views into the distance. Climbing novices as well as passionate climbers can hone their skills in the alpine climbing range. Those who prefer the horizontal to the vertical have more than 1000 kilometres of hiking trails and 500 kilometres of cycle routes quite literally at their feet. Softly undulating on one side of the valley, wild and mountainous on the other. All attributes that apply to the inhabitants of Prättigau, as well...
Prättigau in winter:
In the cold months, small and family friendly ski resorts like Grüsch-Danusa, Pany or Heuberge St. Antönien and the veritable paradise for ski or snowshoe tours in St. Antönien attract winter sports enthusiasts from all over. And with a length of 12 kilometres, the Heuberge mountain range near Fideris boasts one of the longest luge runs in the Alps. A one-of-a-kind experience awaits you in Pany, where you can ride downhill on a horse-drawn tree trunk that is specially equipped with a set of blades.
