The Reformed Church in Nufenen is a protected monument of the canton of Graubünden. Since the introduction of the Reformation around 1530, which is illustrated by a stained glass window in the choir with a verse from a song by Martin Luther ("A strong castle is our God"), it has served as a preaching church.
Description
From about 1300 to 1696, Nufenen and Hinterrhein were a unit in ecclesiastical terms, before Nufenen became independent until 1874. After that, both communities came together again. The Nufen church was founded in 1643 when the unrest in Graubünden subsided and the political and ecclesiastical situation stabilized.
The simply plastered church tower is crowned with a striking onion dome. Inside the church, a pulpit without a sound cover on the left side and a baptismal font in the choir room, on which the Lord's Supper is also celebrated, stand out. The choir is separated from the nave by a segmental arch
