In the carefully refreshed Stalla Madulain, tradition marries with modern art.

Description

With around 200 inhabitants, Madulain is the smallest municipality in the Upper Engadine and an oasis of tranquillity. Since 2014, however, the small village has also been enchanting on a grand scale, as the Stalla Madulain has brought the world of art to the village. The stable, which dates back to 1488, has been freed from the dust of the past centuries and now offers three lovingly restored floors of atmospheric space for artists who take the Engadin as their theme or find inspiration for their work here. The unusual ambience radiates purist vigour and plays its part in ensuring that the ‘Stalla Madulain’ gallery has become a permanent fixture on the agenda of the art-loving Engadin.

The Stalla Madulain celebrates its 10th anniversary.
