Description
The origins of the church building date back to 841, when it was erected by a foundation of Lothar I. The church is dedicated to the patron saint of Jesus as Savior (Latin: Salvator). The current building was erected during the early days of the Grisons Troubles (1618-1625) and has a tower whose striking width compared to the nave and pointed onion dome characterize the townscape. Inside, behind a two-step staircase to the choir, there is a stone baptismal font, which is used both as a baptismal font and communion table according to the Reformed denomination.
