Tourist Attraction Engadin St. Moritz

Description
Samedan is home to many well-preserved Engadin patrician houses dating from the 16th and 17th centuries, with their picturesque oriels and intricate sgraffiti façade decorations (the quarters of Crappun, Crasta and Surtuor). Famous persons once inhabited these houses, including the reformer and Bible translator, Giachem Bifrun, and the Jenatsch family, to which the famous freedom fighter, Georg Jenatsch (1596–1639), belonged. Indeed, in those days Samedan was home to a great many talented men, who rendered great services to their country. A leisurely walk through the narrow winding streets is always worthwhile!
