Wallfahrtskirche St. Maria Licht in Acladira, Trun
The pilgrimage church of St. Maria Licht in Acladira is located in Trun.
Description
history
On the terrace of Acladira a prehistoric sacrificial site can be assumed. The foundation stone for the Marienkapelle was laid in 1663. The consecration with three altars took place in 1672 in honor of St. Mary to the Light. The shell was completed in 1682 and consecrated in 1684. The master builder was Christianus Nichus. From 1687 to 1691, the Disentis monastery printing house was located in the Pfrundhaus, built in 1685. From 1679, for about 200 years, the abbot of Disentis provided the benefices.
specifications
The present church consists of three parts. 1st choir, 2nd pre-choir, 3rd nave. The east-facing choir is closed on three sides and vaulted with a half-dome adapted to the polygon barrel. In the long sides pointed arch windows. In the end wall an oculus. In the north wall Gothic chamfered door to the sacristy. Above the nave arches a barrel-shaped wooden ceiling resting on simple entablature. On the façade there are three small pictorial niches with the date 1683.
The tower stands on the north side of the choir and is crowned by a very slender pointed helmet rising above eyelashes. To the east is the sacristy, which was rebuilt in 1938/38.
Stuccoure: Focuses on the decoration of the choir.
Paintings
Of the stucco frame - painted on canvas - recessed images of Mary in the choir vault, the middle piece is remarkable from an iconographic point of view in that Mary lets the milk of her breast flow into a sacrificial bowl, which also collects the blood of Christ. In the pre-choir: In the niches the Holy Mystics, St. Gertrude and her teacher Mechthildis. (In the ship) The windows are framed with architectural motifs and flanked by a pair of the four evangelists and the Latin church fathers.
The altars: are all made of wood, high altar built around 1740-1750. Instead of the altarpiece dominates the miraculous image, a Madonna (with hanging). The two side altars in the pre-choir form a simple, two-column aedikula, built around 1673. The side altars in the nave are original attachments, flanked not with columns, but only with pilasters and crowned with pylon-like structures.
equipment
