From the valley floor up to high altitudes, they are scattered everywhere and testify to development and change in agriculture. The highest, the Alpine stables, offered the animals protection in bad weather and served as a milking place. The mountain stables were storage space for the harvested hay until it was transported to the valley in winter. In the valley, on the other hand, are the field stables, where the animals spent a few weeks before and after the alpine season. Over the winter they came to the village or home stable. In modern agriculture, many of these stables have become superfluous and are therefore empty. It is now necessary to find new ways of using them in order to prevent the disintegration of these contemporary witnesses.
