Angelika Overath meets Marlise Küng

Marlise Küng has written a debut novel at the age of 72 after completing a doctorate in educational science and many years of teaching at the FHNW. "Lina ties her shoes" is an autofictional look back at a childhood and youth in the canton of Aargau between the post-war period and the economic upswing. The novel tells of Lina's escape from circumstances that keep her small. She frees herself from the authoritarian structures of village confinement and, with all the difficulties, begins a self-determined life in which she increasingly sees herself as a lesbian woman.
After moderated reading sessions, a collegial workshop discussion will focus on the opportunities and risks of autobiographical writing.
